We work with indie fiction authors at any stage of their journey—from first-time writers to seasoned self-publishers. If you're passionate about storytelling and want professional, creative support, we’re here for you.

We love working with fantasy, romance, historical fiction, speculative fiction, and emotionally driven stories. If you’re not sure your genre fits, just ask!

What kinds of authors do you work with?

Back to faq's →

Not at all. All of our services are available à la carte. You can build your own package to fit your timeline, needs, and budget.

Do I need to book a full package?

While our heart lies with fiction, we occasionally take on creative nonfiction projects. Reach out and tell us about your book—we’ll let you know if we’re a good fit.

Developmental editing focuses on big-picture elements like plot, pacing, character development, and theme.

Copyediting is a line-level polish that addresses grammar, clarity, sentence structure, and consistency.

Proofreading is the final pass for typos, punctuation, and formatting errors before publication.

We’re happy to help you choose the right level for your manuscript.

What’s the difference between developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading?

Back to faq's →

Nope. We won’t change your voice or rewrite your story. Our job is to elevate your vision—not replace it.

Yes! Whether you’re looking for a social media strategy, ARC reader help, or a pre-order campaign, you can hire us for individual services or a custom package.

Can I hire you just for marketing?

We celebrate romance that focuses on emotional depth rather than explicit scenes. Dragonfly Literary Co. works with closed-door romance and values storytelling that emphasizes love, growth, and connection.

What kind of romantic content do you support?

Back to faq's →

Absolutely. We’ll help you find the strategy that works best for you—whether that’s through email newsletters, podcast features, virtual tours, or a reader magnet strategy.

I’m not on social media. Can I still market my book?

Back to faq's →

We’ll start with a short discovery form, and if we believe your manuscript will be a good fit, we will then follow up with a consultation or email recommendation based on your needs. Once we confirm scope and availability, we’ll send a contract and invoice to officially begin.

What happens after I reach out?

Back to faq's →

Absolutely. Confidentiality is baked into our contract, and we treat every story with the respect it deserves.

Will you keep my manuscript private?

Back to faq's →

Yes! For editing services, we require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining balance due upon completion. For marketing services, we typically break the cost into milestones based on the project timeline (for example: pre-launch, mid-launch, and wrap-up). Custom payment plans can also be arranged for larger projects—just ask!
