Dragonfly Literary Co. is a boutique editorial and marketing company supporting indie and hybrid authors through every stage of publishing—from manuscript development to book launch and visibility strategy.

We started DLC after recognizing a clear gap in accessible, high-quality editorial and marketing support for indie authors. Nina brings a background in editing through university study, professional certifications, and hands-on experience in publishing, while Lauren holds a degree in marketing with specialized experience in digital marketing and SEO.

Together, we combine editorial expertise and strategic marketing to help authors refine their work and grow their reach with confidence.

What makes Dragonfly Literary Co. different?

Not at all. All of our services are available à la carte. You can build your own package to fit your timeline, needs, and budget.

Do I need to book a full package?

Back to faqs →

While our heart lies with fiction, we occasionally take on creative nonfiction projects. Reach out and tell us about your book—we’ll let you know if we’re a good fit.

Do you work with nonfiction authors?

Back to faqs →

We recommend booking as early as possible. For book launches, we suggest inquiring at least 8 months before your publication date to allow time for strategy, preparation, and execution.

For editing services, timelines vary depending on manuscript length and the level of editing needed. Estimated turnaround times are listed under each editing service, and you’re always welcome to reach out for more specific guidance based on your project.

How far in advance should I book?

Back to faqs →

No. While we provide expert editorial guidance and strategic marketing support designed to strengthen your manuscript and improve visibility, we do not guarantee book sales, rankings, or specific outcomes. Success in publishing depends on many factors outside of any one service. What we do guarantee is thoughtful, professional work tailored to your goals and a clear strategy to help you show up as a confident, prepared author.

Do you guarantee results
or book sales?

Back to faqs →

Nope. We won’t change your voice or rewrite your story. Our job is to elevate your vision—not replace it.

Will you rewrite parts of my book?

Back to faqs →

Yes! Whether you’re looking for a social media strategy, ARC reader help, or a pre-order campaign, you can hire us for individual services or a custom package.

Can I hire you just for marketing?

Back to faqs →

We celebrate romance that focuses on emotional depth rather than explicit scenes. Dragonfly Literary Co. works with closed-door romance and values storytelling that emphasizes love, growth, and connection.

What kind of romantic content do you support?

Back to faqs →

Absolutely. We’ll help you find the strategy that works best for you—whether that’s through email newsletters, podcast features, virtual tours, or a reader magnet strategy.

I’m not on social media. Can I still market my book?

Back to faqs →

After you reach out, we’ll schedule a consultation call to get a sense of your goals, your story, and who you are as an author. If it feels like a good fit for both parties, we’ll put together three package options tailored to your goals. These are presented as proposals and can be customized as needed. Once everything is finalized and approved, we begin working together.

What happens after I inquire?

Back to faqs →

Absolutely. Confidentiality is baked into our contract, and we treat every story with the respect it deserves.

Will you keep my manuscript private?

Back to faqs →

Yes! For editing services, we require a 50% deposit upfront, with the remaining balance due upon completion. For marketing services, we typically break the cost into milestones based on the project timeline. Custom payment plans can also be arranged for larger projects—just ask!
